Our sole purpose is to use the tools of investigative journalism and in the interest of the public good to report on cases of abuse of public funds or power, corruption and negligence, the squandering or misuse of common goods. We believe that investigative journalism can effectively combat abuses, raising the risk of them, and increasing the moral sensitivity and expectations of society. And we also believe that it is possible and necessary to adhere to these values and the special care expected of investigative journalism even in circumstances that make it difficult to conduct in-depth journalism.
